AvoAI - Agent Sandbox
We’ve created a new experience for testing AvoAI Agents that lets you role-play as one of your contacts and send messages and get answers immediately from your AI Agent. We hope this makes it easier to feel what the customer would experience, as well as make changes to your agent’s Instructions and Configuration with confidence. Learn more below:

How does it work?
Under the “Automation” tab, you can find the “Test Agents” flow which lets you create sandbox conversations to talk to the latest version of your AI Agent.
This experience leverages your AI Agent, your instructions, and the rest of your inbox’s rules and settings to simulate complete conversations your bot would have with a contact. This way you can easily make changes to your Agent then test and view the results immediately all without leaving Avochato.
Note: AI usage incurred while testing the Sandbox will deduct from your balance.
You can select pre-populated sample messages to “ask” your AI Agent, and then you can simulate how your Agent would respond. You can also use the chat box to ask it anything.
- Once you engage with the sandbox, it creates a new contact (pre-populated using your user info) and a new conversation (once per session) in a new channel that is still in your inbox but is kept hidden from your team - you can view the conversations by editing your filters and selecting the “Sandbox Test Chat” option. If you leave the Sandbox or you click “Reset”, it will reset the conversation entirely so you can start over from scratch.
- These messages do not use SMS or RCS, so they will never go outbound to the carrier network.

AI-generated FAQs
Avochato can now pull up a list of frequently-asked questions from your inbox. You can view this list in the Sandbox and test responses that your Agent would give. You’ll also see a new ‘Auto FAQ’ set of instructions in the ‘Instruct Agent’ page.
If you’re not satisfied about how your Agent would answer a question, you can edit your Instructions to improve your Agent’s answers. Updated Instructions will also improve the Suggestions presented in the inbox to you and your team.

Summaries
Summaries are now smarter:
- Avochato now incorporates previous summaries when re-summarizing an existing conversation. This makes longer conversations’ recent summaries more accurate, take less time and fees to generate, and generally be more reliable.
- Auto-generated summaries have new rules to prevent eagerly generating too many summaries in a given inbox, especially when very little has changed.
- Conversations will never be re-summarized less than a minute apart if a summary was already available.
- You can force a refresh if you want to generate a new summary of a conversation after changing your Customizable Summary Prompt
Bug fixes
Salesforce
- We’ve improved how we handle time-outs when syncing data to and from Salesforce, in the event that an instance takes longer to respond or Salesforce suffers from any networking issues.
- Fixed an issue where contacts with a precise number of tags would sometimes fail to sync to Salesforce instead of getting trimmed.
Inbox
- Fixed an issue where uploaded PNGs were not getting compressed properly (and in some cases, would end up larger than they started.)
- You can finally toggle on the “Availability” of a brand new user as soon as you add them to the auto assignment roster. Previously, you had to refresh the page or use the dropdown menu for this to work.
- Fixed a bug where initial outbound messages at the start of a widget conversation would get sent twice.
